After decades of ruling the off-road world, today's Wrangler blends character with surprising comfort and daily usability.
Trim Levels
For 2025, the Jeep Wrangler comes in six trims: Sport, Sport S, Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, and Rubicon X. Each features the iconic seven-slot grille with subtle updates.
The Sport comes with 17-inch black steel wheels and a removable cloth top. Sport S adds 17-inch Mineral Gray wheels. The Willys variant gets LED reflector headlamps and 33-inch all-terrain tires with mud-terrain capability. Sahara models feature 18-inch machined Baltic Gray wheels, Rubicon gains red tow hooks and off-road tires, and Rubicon X includes an integrated off-road camera.
All trims offer the three-piece Freedom Top hardtop option. The Willys two-door stands apart with an available 35-inch tire package for extra clearance. High-strength steel components reinforce the entire range, and all models now offer the new Mojito paint color.
Engine
The 2025 Wrangler offers two engine choices. Standard in Sport, Rubicon, and Rubicon X models, the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 with 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque is paired with a six-speed manual for precise terrain control.
A 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder option delivers 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Standard on the Sahara and available across all trims, this engine comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission that performs smoothly on highways and trails. The additional torque provides valuable low-end power when you need it most.
Performance
The 2025 Wrangler excels off-road and on the highway. All models tow up to 3,500 pounds when properly equipped. Sport, Sport S, and Willys trims use the Command-Trac four-wheel-drive system, and the Rubicon and Rubicon X feature the advanced Rock-Trac system for extreme terrain.
With the V-6 engine and manual transmission, a base two-door Sport can reach 60 mph in 6.1 seconds, and the 2.0-liter turbo Sahara can do it in 6.5 seconds. Every Wrangler includes tough Dana solid front and rear axles. For serious off-roading, Rubicon models add rear lockers, sway bar disconnect, and a 100:1 crawl ratio for precise control. These vehicles handle challenges that would defeat most other four-wheel drives.
Interior
The Wrangler cabin pairs ruggedness with technology. Its 12.3-inch touchscreen runs the Uconnect 5 system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Voice commands control navigation and entertainment, and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot keeps everyone connected during adventures. The optional nine-speaker Alpine audio system delivers excellent sound.
Higher trims include 12-way power-adjustable front seats with a heated steering wheel and seat option. The Rubicon X offers Nappa leather and an eight-way power driver's seat. Practical features include lockable storage compartments and under-seat bins for securing gear. Four-door models provide class-leading rear legroom, making family trips more comfortable for everyone.
